For more than four decades, our family has been rooted in the leather trade. It began with the raw leather business — sourcing, grading and supplying hides through the trading networks of Tamil Nadu. That early immersion gave us an instinctive understanding of material quality that no formal training can replicate.

By the time Reliance Exim was formally established in 2018, we already had more than two decades of hands-on manufacturing experience behind us as a premium leather manufacturer in India.
Today, Reliance Exim operates its own manufacturing facility in Chennai and supplies Chrome Free Leather, goat suede, goat dye crust and specialty embossed leathers to footwear, bag and garment manufacturers across India, Europe, Australia and other international markets. How We Work
As a premium leather manufacturer in India, every stage of our process is monitored carefully to maintain consistency from raw material through to export dispatch.
Premium goat, sheep and cow hides are sourced and graded by grain quality, size, substance and surface condition. Only hides that clear our selection threshold proceed — the foundation of consistent, article-ready finished leather.
Before any processing begins, every hide is measured across the belly, butt and neck zones so substance can be matched to the target article — footwear, garments or leather goods. Uniform thickness is the bedrock of cutting efficiency and consistent finished goods, so each batch is calibrated to buyer specification before the first drum step.
Controlled tanning — including chrome-free, vegetable and combination methods — is applied in the drum to convert raw hide into stable, rot-proof leather while building the body, temper and hand-feel each article demands. This sets the surface character that finishing will bring to life.
Once the leather carries the right substance and temper, advanced finishing delivers the surface, colour depth and texture each article requires — from soft suede nap to foil embossing and precision pattern embossing for goat, sheep and cow leather. This is where the finished character buyers see is created.
Finished leather is inspected against the approved sample — colour, texture, handle, thickness and surface consistency — panel by panel, before packing. Test reports are available for all major articles, so what ships always matches the sample.
Approved, inspected leather is packed and dispatched with full export documentation, packing details and shipping support for all destinations. As an established leather exporter from India, we handle the complete shipment process with tracking support from our factory to your door.
